Republiktimes .com – Ribuan pelajar dari berbagai sekolah di Sumatera dan Kalimantan antusias menyambut Program Makan Bergizi Gratis yang dilaksanakan oleh Sub Holding PTPN IV PalmCo.
Program yang diusung anak perusahaan Holding Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) tersebut merupakan bagian dari implementasi tanggung jawab sosial lingkungan (TJSL) PTPN IV PalmCo, dalam mendukung program pemerintah menyongsong visi Indonesia Emas 2045.
Direktur Utama PTPN IV PalmCo, Jatmiko Santosa, dalam keterangan tertulisnya mengatakan, Program Makan Bergizi Gratis dilaksanakan secara bertahap di sejumlah sekolah, dengan melibatkan ribuan pelajar di Sumatera dan Kalimatan.
“Kami memahami pentingnya asupan gizi yang baik untuk mendukung perkembangan generasi muda yang sehat, cerdas, dan produktif. Program ini juga menjadi salah satu ikhtiar kami untuk memberikan dampak langsung bagi masyarakat di sekitar wilayah operasional,” ujarnya, di Jakarta, pada Senin (13/1/2025).
Dalam implementasinya, ia memaparkan, bahwa PTPN IV PalmCo menggandeng berbagai pihak untuk menyukseskan program tersebut. Mulai dari pemerintah setempat, asosiasi penyelenggara jasa boga, hingga perangkat sekolah.
Langkah itu ditempuh untuk memastikan, agar seluruh nutrisi bagi para pelajar dapat terpenuhi sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kecukupan gizi sesuai usia para pelajar.
“Sinergi itu untuk memastikan seluruh kebutuhan nutrisi sesuai dengan standar para ahli. Mulai dari gizi, kalori, serat, karbohidrat, dan keamanan pangan semuanya telah diperiksa dan diteliti dengan lengkap sesuai kebutuhan nutrisi pelajar. Sampai pemilihan susu juga diseleksi ketat,” tambahnya.
Jatmiko juga menuturkan, bahwa program makan bergizi gratis yang diusung PTPN IV PalmCo kian memperkuat program TJSL lainnya yang telah berjalan secara berkesinambungan, seperti menyediakan gizi untuk mencegah dan mengatasi stunting, bantuan perlengkapan sekolah, hingga program beasiswa PalmCo. Dan untuk makan bergizi gratis, program ini merupakan proyek percontohan yang ditargetkan dapat dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan.
Langkah itu, jelas Jatmiko, sejalan dengan komitmen perusahaan untuk mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya dalam hal mengentaskan kelaparan (SDG 2) dan mengurangi ketimpangan (SDG 10) serta pendidikan berkualitas (SDG 4).
Lebih jauh, Direktur Hubungan Kelembagaan PTPN IV, Irwan Perangin-angin, menjelaskan, bahwa Program Makan Bergizi Gratis juga telah sukses dilaksanakan pada akhir 2024 kemarin.
Di Sumatera, program tersebut berlangsung di SMA Negeri 1 Dayun dan SMK Negeri 1 Dayun, Kab. Siak, Prov. Riau. Sementara di Kalimantan, program serupa dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Meliau dan SMP Tenera Sungai Dekan, Kab. Sanggau Prov. Kalimantan Barat.
“Alhamdulillah, antusiasme adik-adik begitu besar. Dan Insya Allah, nantinya kita akan siap mengambil bagian menyukseskan program yang sangat baik ini.”
